It's all about bringing our community together and ensuring everyone feels included during the holiday season.
Come check out the beautiful light displays, snap some photos, meet Santa, indulge in some delicious comfort food, sip on mulled wine, skate on the ice rink, gaze at the City's Christmas tree, and enjoy live music, roaming performers, and festive choirs. It's going to be a great time for all!
The holiday season is important to us organizers
Since the holiday season is important to us organizers, we wanted to bring a taste of European Christmas cheer to North Vancouver. We've been to many European Christmas markets and thought we needed to share that experience with others here. We're all about giving back to the community and having the community involved, mainly because we know from experience how tough it can be financially to take the family out to events.
Our goal is to host a Christmas market that's free to get into, like European traditions, and aimed at making things a little easier for single parents and low-income families.
The Shipyards Christmas Market is produced and operated by Parfait Productions Inc., a family-owned company based in North Vancouver. The market is independently owned and operated and is not owned, sponsored, or financially supported by the City of North Vancouver. Parfait Productions Inc. rents the Shipyards site from the City and works closely with local partners to deliver a festive public experience, while actively seeking ways to give back to the community through local vendors, performers, and neighbourhood engagement.

The Largest Christmas Market in Western Canada
Located on an 81,000 sq ft waterfront site in the heart of the Shipyards District, the Shipyards Christmas Market has grown into the largest Christmas market in Western Canada by foot traffic and district-wide impact.
During the most recent season, we welcomed an estimated 500,000 visitors across the Shipyards District, drawn by a free-entry, European-inspired market experience featuring over 100 stalls, 140 vendors, multiple stages, festive food and beverage areas, and a fully integrated public-space design.
Unlike traditional, ticketed Christmas markets confined to a single plaza, the Shipyards Christmas Market operates as a district-scale destination. With multiple access points, direct transit connections, and seamless integration into the surrounding neighbourhood, visitors circulate freely throughout the site, contributing not only to the market itself, but also to record activity for nearby restaurants, retailers, and transit services.
The result is a Christmas market that doesn’t just host visitors, it moves the city.
